Succes message for newsletter form

How can I add a succes message for newsletter form? Now on submission it just reloads the page

I found how to forward to another page, but is a succes message not possible?

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I get a page with a captha and then am being redirected again to / instead of /pages/thank-you

In the code I can see this which is causing the redirect to not work I think, I am not sure where it came from?
<form method="post" action="/contact#contact_form" id="contact_form"

Which is odd since its not in the signup section liquid file

Also the password form doesnt allow me to preview the site anymore now, can i not have a newsletter form on the password page?

When there is a password protection you cant redirect to another page.

@marv you hat a project like this? Instead of redirecting to a page just show a success message.. or?

Yep, you can use js for that. Instead of redirecting we look for parameters in the url. When they are found on page load we show the success message, I will post the code here in a sec

I took the redirect off the form but my password still redirects to /password and doesnt log me in

what do you mean by does not log me in? creates a signup?

https://117fc9-51.myshopify.com/ on the password page fill in password "fourtimesone" and login, it redirects to /password
(the login button is in the corner its kinda hidden under the spline logo sorry)

You dont actually need to add a redirect, you can remove that in webflow

I think you cant, Shopify does that automatically

Yeah I was able to solve it by changing the html in the password section because it had the -2 added, but when I do a new conversion it is added back

@marv is it possible to exclude the coming soon page from being updated? So I can avoid the -2 being added each time?

Can you use a custom element in Webflow for the input? then webflow isnt adding that

So keep the form but remove the input field, replace with a custom element and give the tag of input?
